The basic workflow
1. Your advertiser You sell an advertising deal directly.

Integration 01 · AWS

AWS Elemental MediaTailor

MediaTailor uses an Ad Decision Server (ADS) URL to obtain VAST or VMAP responses for an ad opportunity. CTVBreak provides the VAST endpoint; MediaTailor handles the streaming-side ad insertion.

FreeWheel is a broader enterprise video monetization platform. Where your FreeWheel implementation supports an external VAST source, CTVBreak can be used as the direct-sold ad decision endpoint while FreeWheel and the rest of your streaming stack remain responsible for the surrounding workflow.

Roku applications with RAF and SSAI

Roku's Advertising Framework supports third-party ad servers and both client-side and server-stitched advertising workflows. For SSAI, your application and SSAI vendor need to preserve the required device and measurement information.

For client-side Roku advertising, RAF can be configured with an ad URL. For SSAI, the ad request is made by the server-side component of your ad-stitching solution.

Roku documents requirements around device identifiers and user-agent information for server-side ad requests. Your SSAI implementation should pass the appropriate values through to your ad server.

Roku requires advertising measurement beacons to be fired through the Roku Advertising Framework. Your client application should follow Roku's current certification requirements.

Do I need to replace my SSAI platform?

CTVBreak is designed to work alongside your existing CTV and streaming infrastructure. Your SSAI platform can remain responsible for stitching the advertisement into the stream.
